Great employees are great but great teams are better.  In an increasingly difficult, rapidly changing, global economy teams become more and more necessary for organizational success but not just any team... great teams.  Dysfunctional teams, as many of them are, come at a high cost and with little reward.  Instead of propelling the organization forward they become anchors preventing progress.  It’s not easy to build a great team. You have to hire the right people and train them for their individual roles.  At the same time you are incorporating these individuals into their teams.  It is not sufficient to just put employees in groups and ask them to work together—they need to be given tools and skills  to function successfully and to reach their full potential.  Give them the coaching and training  they need to succeed in their roles and as a team and you will see significant results in the bottom line, the top line, and all the lines in-between.
